Ms. Courtois brings to the agency a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of substance use and service delivery. She has been instrumental in making sure that services in the arena of substance use have been bridged and lowered barriers to care. Her experiences have made an impact across many states and cities where she has been instrumental in making a difference for her community and field of expertise. Ms. Courtois was instrumental in the creation of a Mommies Program which targets pregnant or mothers with children and addiction. This program was recognized by the State of Texas and implemented in other organizations. She also has an unwavering client centered approach to service delivery.

Mr. Flores has a varied range of experience and knowledge across the field of social services. He has a Master of Social Work degree and had worked in the field of social services almost 17 years. Client centered services are apparent in his range of experience and has been persistent. The experience ranges from Crisis Intervention, HIV linkage and Substance Use Disorder services. He has held a position as Co-Chair for the San Antonio Area HIV Health Services Planning Council where standards of care are coordinated and implemented. The provision of education has been important to Mr. Flores. He has taken in Master level Social Work students

for internships and taught many elements of client related care including clinical documentation training.

Kevin has a different perspective to the board as a local public servant. Experience with local county government as well as the legal community has allowed him to understand the nuances of small nonprofits. With his experience in volunteering with local programs such as Project H.O.T. and others, he brings to the table a unique perspective, bringing together local government in Bexar County as well as direct services in small communities.
